I was born and raised in Madrid, and I have lived and worked more than ten years in the United States and Great Britain, before making my home permanently
in Barcelona. I graduated with a B.A. in political science from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and received my PhD in history at Tufts University at
the prestigious Prince of Asturias Chair in Spanish History. My teaching experience includes posts at Tufts University, King's College at the University of London,
and various study abroad programs in Barcelona.
As an intellectual historian, I am interested in all cultural forms of expression - novels, art and films - which I try to use to make history lively.
It is my hope that students enjoy Barcelona as much as I have enjoyed living in Boston and London.
