Benvinguts a Barcelona!

I was born in Barcelona, on December the 23rd 1980. I grew up and studied in Badalona , a small city near Barcelona. I'm a typical Catalan girl!!

After High School I decided to study Spanish Philology at the University of Barcelona as my main interest were languages.

But when I finished Spanish Philology in 2002, I thought that I had to go on with my studies. Moreover I wanted to combine my interest in languages with my hobby: computers. That's why I entered at a doctoral program on Computational Linguistics at the Pompeu Fabra University. Currently I'm in my research period, it is about "Automatic disambiguation of syntactic functions in Catalan".

I'm also enrolled in ALLES. It is a multimedia based system for advanced and specialised second language self-learning. I'm working on the grammar checker. Of course, I don't spend all day studying, I like going to the cinema, to concerts and going out with my friends.
