Josep Grau

I was born and raised in Lliça de Vall, a town thirty kilometres north of Barcelona. I graduated from the University of Barcelona with a history degree and took a doctorate course in Aberdeen, Scotland - one of the nicest yet coldest locations in northwest Europe. In 2004 I obtained my Ph.D. from the Pompeu Fabra University with a thesis dissertation on language planning in early XXth century Catalonia.

My teaching experience includes a year at high school and eight years at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and the Catalonia Police School.

At present I live in Granollers, a city beside my hometown, and spend a great deal of my free time reading newspapers, going jogging and playing drums.
