GPA 3.2 or above
6 semesters of Spanish Language (300 level in the Spanish Placement Exam)

Petition Form

You need to fill out and send the petition form to the Honors Program Coordinator in order to apply to the program.

Language Pledge

Students must fill in a Spanish Language Pledge to guarantee that they will use Spanish when communicating with IES, during classes, in their housing as well as during research. It is mandatory to agree to this pledge in order to participate in the Honors Program.

Recommendation Letter

Students need a Recommendation Letter signed by a member of his/her university, preferably a professor in a department related to the research project.

Resume

The resume in Spanish will not exceed one page and should emphasize courses, skills and other academic information connected to the project proposal or the student's research capabilities.

Letter of Motivation

This letter, written in Spanish, cannot exceed 1,500 words in length. The student should explain why s/he wants to write an Honors Thesis, what the topic will be, its relation to Barcelona/Catalonia/Spain as well as the meaning of this project for his/her past or future career.
