Ariadna Saiz
My name is Ariadna, a name from an ancient Greek myth where Ariadna gives Theseus some thread that helps him to leave a
labyrinth. Fortunately, in my own life, I have always had many threads to throw and few "labyrinths" to make my way out from.Even though I was born in Burgos, I attended the University of Pais Vasco to study French Literature/Language and History and completed my French studies in France. The historical "thread" led me to Greece where I studied and worked as a Spanish Teacher. The second "thread" carried me to the West Indies of the Carribean, Martinique, where I also worked as a Spanish Teacher and became familiar with the Hispanic culture that exists on the other side of the Atlantic. The last "thread" led me to Africa where I had the opportunity to work in the Ivory Coast as an Assistant Spanish Professor. I now live in Barcelona where I am completing my Phd program at the University of Barcelona. The rest of my time, I dedicate to you, the students of IES.
