Ariadna Saiz

My name is Ariadna, a name from an ancient Greek myth where Ariadna gives Theseus some thread that helps him to leave a labyrinth. Fortunately, in my own life, I have always had many threads to throw and few "labyrinths" to make my way out from.

Even though I was born in Burgos, I attended the University of Pais Vasco to study French Literature/Language and History and completed my French studies in France. The historical "thread" led me to Greece where I studied and worked as a Spanish Teacher. The second "thread" carried me to the West Indies of the Carribean, Martinique, where I also worked as a Spanish Teacher and became familiar with the Hispanic culture that exists on the other side of the Atlantic. The last "thread" led me to Africa where I had the opportunity to work in the Ivory Coast as an Assistant Spanish Professor.

I now live in Barcelona where I am completing my Phd program at the University of Barcelona. The rest of my time, I dedicate to you, the students of IES. So, just so you know, if you are ever feeling lost in the labyrinth of Spanish... you only have to follow the thread that has been left for you!!
