I was born in Barcelona but I grew up in Mexico D. F. until the age of 15. That's the reason why I have always been fascinated by Mexican
people and folklore and I adore Mexican food, the real good Mexican food. Later on I studied History of Art at the University of Barcelona
and when I finished my studies I became a teacher. Since then I have always lived and worked here and I think Barcelona is a wonderful place
for an art scholar. Not many cities in the world can really offer such a rich artistic repertoire: From the romans to the medieval city and
from Modernism to the great XX century painters, Miró, Dalí, Tapies.
My interests lay mainly on architecture and design and I would like very much to introduce IES students in the magic world
of Catalan Modernism. My other great passion is music. Classical music from all the times and opera above all. My travels always
lead me to a music festival or to an opera performance all around the world. Besides I enjoy very much having a good supper with my friends or
with my family, and arguing about politcs or art or music with them. The famous spanish "tertulia".
