Advanced

The Advanced track plunges students, from the very beginning, with a solid command of the Spanish language into Barcelona´s student life from the beginning. Most students have four to five semesters of college-level Spanish language or the equivalency, and all have the option to take all of their courses in Spanish. Advanced students work toward intercultural competence and language fluency.

Course Options:

• Spanish Language at the Advanced level (required)
• IES area studies in English and Spanish
• Regular courses in English at the UPF* and ESCI
• Regular courses in Spanish at the UPF*, ESCI, and URL
• Estudios Hispanicos in Spanish at UPF*, UB, and URL
• Internships and Service Learning opportunities

* If you choose to take courses at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), you are required to take at least two courses.
