Evaluation Methods

Each professor decides on the specific evaluations methods and their percentage for the final grade. IES Barcelona classes use the following evaluation methods.

Class participation
Journal
Oral Presentation
Quizzes
Midterm Exam
Final Exam
Paper Draft
Final Paper
Research Project
Portfolio
Final Critique

Student Workload

Students' commitment includes both types of work: inside and outside the classroom. Students are expected to study double the number of credit hours outside the class time. For example, on a 3-credit course students attend 3 hours of class per week, and are expected to do class-related work for 6 hours in their own time.
