Copyright

The required readings for your IES courses will be supplied in a Course Reader. These readers are prepared by a local copy shop and you can buy them on arrival in Barcelona, during the first week of class.

In addition to the cost of each reader, which is paid directly to the copy shop at the time of purchase, there are also copyright charges for the reading material in these Course Readers. IES is compliant with international and US copyright laws and thus must obtain the permissions from publishers to reproduce materials in our academic course readers. The fees for these permissions are passed on directly to students and will be billed to students through IES Chicago. Regardless of whether an IES student purchases the course reader or not for a course, if the student is enrolled in a course with a course reader, he or she will be billed for the per-student copyright permissions fee for that course reader.
