Nuria Silvestre

Hi my name is Núria, and I am one of your Spanish teachers at IES Barcelona.

I was born in Barcelona and ever since I was a child I always knew that I would be a teacher, so I studied Education at the University of Barcelona. When I finished my studies, I started working as a teacher and my dream had come true. I continued studying, attending several courses and workshops. Four years ago, I finished a postgraduate program on teaching languages to adults. In 2002 I taught Spanish in Berlin on a project co-financed by the Berlin Senate. This was a great experience and living in this cosmopolitan city give me the opportunity to know not only another language, but also another culture, history, and way of life. More importantly, perhaps, I also had the good fortune to meet some fantastic people. My hobbies are travelling, playing sports, reading, and acting.

I'm sure your time in Barcelona will be unforgettable. You will learn Spanish in front of the sea but also close to the mountains and, best of all, in a cosmopolitan city full of history, culture, magic, and fun.
