Montse Suarez

Hola!!! My name is Montse and I am one of the professors who are teaching "The Mediterranean Environment" (ES 311). A few years ago, I finished my Biological Science studies in Girona and I decided to go to the United States where I got my M. S. in Marine Environmental Sciences at Stony Brook University, NY. Getting to know the American culture, the beauty of the country, and making wonderful friends, made these four years one of the most exciting periods of my life. For this reason, I recommend to everyone that they take the time to live in a foreign country, just like those of you who have decided to come to Barcelona. Here you will discover a land full of contrasts, amazing people, nice weather, and of course great food!! The Mediterranean is considered to be one of the top 25 world hotspots for biodiversity. There are many different natural habitats, national parks, and historical sites waiting to be discovered by you... so don't miss the opportunity and have fun!
