"I'm a stranger here myself". After growing up in places as different as Buenos Aires and Los Angeles, foreignness is nothing (and always) new to me. Maybe the true cause of my move to Barcelona in 1998 was just plain wanderlust. When I'm not travelling geographically, I like to loose myself in books and movie theatres. The spatial trip is the best way to meet new people; the mental one, an unbeatable way to cultivate the soul. I think I'll stay a while in Barcelona; Mediterranean food is my favorite dish, and I love the Catalan combination of Spanish ease and cosmopolitan bustle. Although one can never become a complete local, living in a city that is not one's own gives one the possibility to contemplate it with the fresh eyes of a newly arrived tourist and, after a few years, the fine judgement of a connoisseur. This intercultural condition is one of my favorite things.
