The information in this section pertains to Fall 2007
The IES Barcelona academic options have been divided into
4 different
academic tracks which function as separate groups within the program:
Beginner, Intermediate I, Intermediate II and Advanced.
The course offer available within each track ranges from area courses at the IES
Center; Estudios Hispánicos and Regular courses at local outside institutions;
Spanish language courses at IES; and Internships and Service Learning.
New for Fall 2007
- International Study Programmes the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB)
The Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) has created a programme Barcelona for international studens who wish to study in Barcelona for a
semester or an academic year without going through the Spanish admissions system for public universities.
This programme, open to IES Barcelona students, offers courses put together for international students in various disciplines.
The courses that are taught in either English or Spanish, are also attended by local undergraduate students.
The Bellaterra Campus is located in a very beautiful natural setting, with green open spaces and woods. In the campus the academic,
cultural and social activities happen in one place. The UAB campus provides all kinds Aof additional services, including libraries,
a language-learning centre, its own cultural activities, sports facilities, restaurants, a health centre, bookshops, and various other
shops, making the campus a genuine community where studying takes place in an atmosphere of friendship and solidarity between students
and teachers from around the world.
